For the past decade, I have worked in public and international schools as a social sciences and English teacher at the secondary level. My primary experience has been in the IB program, teaching MYP and DP curriculum for middle and high school, working mostly with students between the ages of twelve to eighteen.
During that time, I also organised a wide variety of programs for multiple levels of school.. I helped to create gifted and talented programs for elementary school-aged students in the PYP. I also organised a range of extracurricular activities for students of all ages, including Model UN and improv classes. In my roles in IB schools, I have coordinated their Service as Action and CAS (Creativity, Action, and Service) programs; these were focused on students’ needs outside the classroom.
Originally, I’m from the United States, but I now live and work in Bratislava. I received a double BA in history and anthropology from Northern Kentucky University in the United States. I continued my education at the University of New South Wales in Australia, where I completed both a Graduate Diploma of Secondary Education and a Masters of Environmental Management (focusing on social policy and environmental education).
I specialise in:
- English Language and Literature

- Individuals & Societies, including History and Geography
